Hayley - Trash the Dress (Part 2 of 2)

A few days after our river session, we headed to the beach to get some more "trash the dress" pics. We spent more time playing on the beach than we did taking pics. We still got some ocean pics, but the water was freezing, and I felt bad for my model, so I took it easy on her. She was a wonderful sport about the whole thing. If nothing else, I know I now have two friends in California. Maybe when they move back to town in 2012, we can revisit the beach on a warmer day, and really get some great stuff.

Hayley - Trash the Dress (Part 1 of 2)

I met Hayley at Rachel and Chris's wedding. Since Rachel was married in the rain, and her dress was already wet, I tried to convince her to do some "trash the dress" pics. Like most brides, she refused, but her bridesmaid / cousin, Hayley, seemed game. Since Hayley lives in California but is from Montgomery, it was a stroke of luck that she had an old wedding dress here at her mother's, and was up to the task.
A few days later we met in Wetumpka, at the river, and took some shots. This was one of the funniest days that I have ever spent behind the camera. We took pics at the boat ramp, so all the men who were heading out to fish got a good laugh as well. It is surprising how many fishermen carry cameras in their boats, and how they enjoyed taking pictures just as much as I did. Even though the water was freezing, and Kenny (Hayley's husband) lost his wedding ring in the river, it was an awesome day.

Jennifer and Andrei

This year I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of my first niece, Jennifer. I can't begin to tell you how old I felt this particular weekend. I vividly remember the day she was born, and now she is all grown up, and a married woman. I could not believe that my brother, Greg, held it together so well. I expected buckets of tears, but he managed to control his emotions, even though I am sure he was crying inside. I almost teared up several times, but never cried, which may be a good thing, since a lot of people I do not know may have been confused as to why the Wiseman family hired a crying photographer. This was my first time meeting Andrei. He seems to be a super guy, and I know he will make Jen very happy. Congrats you two, and thanks for letting me be involved.

Rachel & Chris

This wedding was a blast! Although it was a rainy day, Rachel and Chris braved the elements, stood outside in the rain, and got married. They were not going to let a few rain clouds ruin their special day. The wedding was held at the Old House on Meriwether in South Montgomery.
